In the Glory Cloud

Throughout the Bible, God’s glory cloud announces His presence. It descended on the tabernacle in the wilderness, it filled Solomon’s temple, and Ezekiel saw it leave the Temple when God determined to send His people into exile.

But since the day of Pentecost up till now, God’s glory resides in His new temple, the Church. Not this building, but in you, Christ’s people, who are filled with His Spirit. The presence of the Holy Spirit in you declares you to be friends of God in the name of Jesus. This meal we eat together is eaten in the glory cloud as God wills this place with His glory.
