Partake Together

It is absolutely impossible to overemphasize the importance of our union with Christ. The work of the gospel is to bring you to Christ, and the work we do in proclaiming the gospel is to see you united to Christ through faith. If you are in Christ, then you are part of the new creation. And so are all your brothers and sisters who are in Christ. If you are a member of Christ’s body, then you are also one with all the other members of His body. You are members together with one another. And so, when we eat this meal each week, we do not do so simply as individual people who have a personal relationship with Jesus, but as the body of Christ, partaking together of His grace to us.
