Love the Right Things

 

It is possible to do the right things as a Christian, checking off boxes on your list, and yet over the years to find that you are not growing in holiness. The same childish sins that plagued you when you were a young believer still hold you captive now. That is because you are acting like a hypocrite. In Romans 12:9, the Apostle Paul tells his readers that genuine love means hating what is evil and clinging to what is good.

Genuine love means hating the wrong things, and loving the right things. When you repent of your sins, ask God to help you hate those sins, just like He does and to give you a heart to love to do His will.
