An Endless Table

Revelation 19 says, “Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.

And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.” 

That innumerable multitude we saw earlier clothed in white robes is the wife of the Lamb, the bride of Christ. We sit at this table not only as members of Providence Church here in Lynchburg, but as members of that innumerable multitude, in fellowship with all the saints that have preceded us in glory and with all the saints alive on earth today. But we also eagerly anticipate all those still to come whom God will bring into the body of Christ and invite to sit at this table. The Lord’s Table is not small, it is an endless table that holds more guests than anyone can count.
